The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in the __amd_smn_rw() function when SMN read or write operations are attempted after amd_smn_init() fails. A local user can trigger SMN read or write operations to cause a denial of service.
