CWE-ID: CWE-400 - Resource exhaustion
CVSSv4: 4.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper VMID 0 flush handling in amdgpu_ttm_map_buffer() when clearing VRAM or copying buffers mapped through direct MC addresses. A local user can trigger these buffer operations to cause a denial of service.
The spurious SDMA flush can wedge the engine on GFX11 hardware.
