Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.

1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-97621)

CWE-ID: CWE-121 - Stack-based buffer overflow

CVSSv4: 0 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a stack-based buffer overflow.

The vulnerability exists due to improper bounds checking in rockchip_dp_drm_encoder_enable() when formatting a device tree path into a 32-byte stack buffer. A local user can supply a device tree path that exceeds the buffer size to cause a stack-based buffer overflow.
