The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a race condition during FDP placement ID initialization.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in nvme_query_fdp_info() when concurrent paths scan the same namespace. A local user can trigger concurrent initialization of the shared namespace FDP placement ID array to cause a race condition during FDP placement ID initialization.
