Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 vulnerabilities.
1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-86420)
CWE-ID: CWE-400 - Resource exhaustion
CVSSv4: 6.3 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in OpenPixelCache. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-86421)
CWE-ID: CWE-401 - Missing release of memory after effective lifetime
CVSSv4: 6.3 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform DoS attack on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due memory leak in MSL decoder. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted MSL image and perform denial of service attack.
3) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-86423)
CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free
CVSSv4: 4.6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in the GetList method of PerlMagick. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted call and cause a denial of service (DoS) condition.
4) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-86425)
CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free
CVSSv4: 4.6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in Layer method of PerlMagick. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted list of images and cause a denial of service (DoS) condition.
