Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 vulnerabilities.

1) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: N/A)

CWE-ID: CWE-918 - Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

CVSSv4: 5.3 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform server-side requests to attacker-selected network targets.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the stored health-check mutation routes when saving health-check configurations in Demo mode. A remote user can save a health-check target to cause the server to perform health checks to attacker-selected network destinations.

Health-check results expose derived status information and content-match decisions, but target response bodies are not returned.

2) Missing Authorization (CVE-ID: N/A)

CWE-ID: CWE-862 - Missing Authorization

CVSSv4: 7.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to disclose stored infrastructure credentials.

The vulnerability exists due to missing authorization in DNS, ACME External Account Binding, and S3-compatible backup configuration read APIs when handling requests authenticated with an api:read service token. A remote user can request configuration responses to disclose stored infrastructure credentials.

The disclosed credentials may be reusable for configured DNS providers, ACME EAB integrations, or S3-compatible storage.

3) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: N/A)

CWE-ID: CWE-843 - Type confusion

CVSSv4: 6.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to type confusion in the passkey completion endpoints' shared in-memory cache when processing a client-supplied session identifier. A remote attacker can target a predictable shared cache key and trigger a recovered panic to cause a denial of service.

Remote exploitation is reachable through the unauthenticated passkey-login completion flow when passkeys are enabled.

4) Missing Authorization (CVE-ID: N/A)

CWE-ID: CWE-862 - Missing Authorization

CVSSv4: 8.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to obtain persistent administrator access.

The vulnerability exists due to missing authorization in user-management mutation routes when processing requests authenticated with a valid write-scoped service token. A remote user can create or alter an enabled administrator account to obtain persistent administrator access.

Read-only service tokens cannot reach the affected user-mutation operations.

5) Incorrect authorization (CVE-ID: N/A)

CWE-ID: CWE-863 - Incorrect Authorization

CVSSv4: 7.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to invoke MCP tools classified as write operations.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect authorization in the MCP authorization middleware when processing tools/call requests containing a valid JSON-RPC request followed by another JSON value. A remote user can submit a crafted request to invoke write-class MCP tools.

The issue affects read-scoped MCP service tokens and user sessions that have not completed secure-session step-up.
