1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98362)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause incorrect clock rates to be reported to consumers.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in scpi_dvfs_recalc_rate() in the SCPI clock driver when recalculating a clock rate using an out-of-range DVFS index returned by SCP firmware. A local user can trigger clock-rate recalculation using such an index to cause incorrect clock rates to be reported to consumers.

The SCP firmware may supply the invalid index because it is buggy or returns a stale value.
