CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free
CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() when restoring hypervisor stub vectors during hibernation resume without supplying the required hypervisor call arguments. A local user can trigger a hibernation resume that leaves EL2 referencing freed vector memory to cause a denial of service.
The reported hang occurs with CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING=y and page_poison=on.
Remediation
