Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98213)
CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free
CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a use-after-free access to kernel memory.
The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in the MMC core SDIO interrupt worker when pending interrupt work executes after the host controller is removed and its host structure is freed. A local user can trigger execution of the pending worker during this removal race to cause a use-after-free access to kernel memory.
The issue applies to host controllers that use sdio_signal_irq() to schedule SDIO interrupt work from their interrupt handlers.
Remediation
Install update from vendor's website.
