1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98338)

CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger a kernel warning and interrupt IBSS join-event processing.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in cfg80211 IBSS join-event handling when looking up a BSS entry during deferred event processing. A local user can initiate a scan with NL80211_SCAN_FLAG_FLUSH while an IBSS join event is pending to trigger a kernel warning and interrupt IBSS join-event processing.
