1) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98394)

CWE-ID: CWE-835 - Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop')

CVSSv4: 4.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service through busy-waiting.

The vulnerability exists due to failure to terminate a receive loop in unix_stream_read_generic() in net/unix/af_unix.c when manage_oob() returns NULL for a zero-length receive buffer. A local user can issue a zero-length blocking recv() call with MSG_PEEK on a UNIX domain stream socket whose last queued socket buffer contains MSG_OOB data to cause a denial of service through busy-waiting.

The affected code requires CONFIG_AF_UNIX_OOB to be enabled.
