1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-7356)

CWE-ID: CWE-787 - Out-of-bounds write

CVSSv4: 7.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker on the local network to potentially cause a denial of service through kernel memory corruption.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds write in the Linux kernel Bluetooth ISO component when processing periodic advertisement reports without adequately validating the service UUID and data length before copying data into the BASE buffer. A remote attacker on the local network can transmit a specially crafted Bluetooth periodic advertisement to potentially overwrite kernel memory and cause a denial of service.
