1) Improper update of reference count (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98527)

CWE-ID: CWE-911 - Improper Update of Reference Count

CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to prevent the Zynq GPIO controller from entering runtime suspend, leaving its clock enabled.

The vulnerability exists due to failure to release a runtime power management reference in zynq_gpio_request() when pm_runtime_get_sync() fails during a GPIO request. A local user can trigger a GPIO request that encounters this failure to leave the usage counter incremented and prevent the controller from entering runtime suspend.
