1) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98601)

CWE-ID: CWE-835 - Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop')

CVSSv4: 5.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:P/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows an attacker with physical access to system to cause a denial of service by making completion processing loop indefinitely.

The vulnerability exists due to an infinite loop caused by an unchecked device-supplied completion index in the btintel_pcie RX and TX completion handlers when processing DMA-shared queue indices. An attacker with physical access to system can supply a cr_hia value greater than or equal to the queue count through a controlled PCIe device to prevent the wrapped completion index from reaching the termination value and cause a denial of service.
