Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98602)
CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read
CVSSv4: 4.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose kernel heap information.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in Bluetooth BNEP transmit processing when handling AF_PACKET frames shorter than the 14-byte Ethernet header. A local user can submit a specially crafted short frame to cause Ethernet header processing to read beyond the available packet data and disclose kernel heap information.
Remediation
Install update from vendor's website.
