Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Improper control of a resource through its lifetime (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98605)
CWE-ID: CWE-664 - Improper control of a resource through its lifetime
CVSSv4: 4.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to potentially cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource lifetime management in the Linux kernel samsung-dsim driver's TE GPIO handling when registering and unregistering the TE interrupt during DSI host attachment and detachment. A local user can potentially trigger conflicting manual and device-managed releases of the GPIO descriptor to disrupt driver operation and cause a denial of service.
Remediation
Install update from vendor's website.
