1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98763)

CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to potentially cause a denial of service through a kernel use-after-free.

The vulnerability exists due to incomplete clearing of endpoint pointers in usb_disable_endpoint() when disabling a non-zero USB control endpoint with reset_hardware set. A local user can trigger this endpoint lifecycle to leave the opposite direction's endpoint array entry pointing to disabled or freed memory, potentially causing a kernel crash if the stale pointer is subsequently used.
