Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.

1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98468)

CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

CVSSv4: 0 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger spurious kernel warnings.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect error handling of a benign race condition in the arm64 KVM stage2_apply_range() function when host memory migration overlaps with stage 2 page-table teardown. A local user can trigger concurrent guest teardown and memory migration under host memory pressure to cause __unmap_stage2_range() to emit a spurious warning.
