1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98491)

CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free

CVSSv4: 8.2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to potentially cause a denial of service through kernel memory corruption.

The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in the Linux kernel Open vSwitch connection-tracking component when cloned packets sharing an unconfirmed connection-tracking entry are committed with different extension sets. A remote attacker can trigger packet processing through the affected commit sequence to invalidate an extension pointer in the expectation list, potentially causing a kernel crash when the entry is later destroyed.
