Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-99015)
CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free
CVSSv4: 5.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service by crashing the Linux kernel.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free caused by missing synchronization in Bluetooth HCI socket handling when rebinding a socket after its controller is unregistered races with monitor control replay. A local user can trigger concurrent socket rebinding and replay operations to cause a NULL pointer dereference or access to a freed controller object and crash the kernel.
Remediation
