Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Deadlock (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-99009)
CWE-ID: CWE-833 - Deadlock
CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service by triggering a deadlock in Bluetooth RFCOMM processing.
The vulnerability exists due to inconsistent lock ordering in the Linux kernel Bluetooth RFCOMM subsystem when establishing an RFCOMM connection while a BR/EDR link is being authenticated. A local user can issue an RFCOMM socket connect() call from userspace to trigger circular acquisition of rfcomm_mutex and hdev->lock, potentially deadlocking Bluetooth processing.
Remediation
