Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-99010)
CWE-ID: CWE-401 - Missing release of memory after effective lifetime
CVSSv4: 6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker on the local network to exhaust kernel memory and cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in the Linux kernel Bluetooth RFCOMM socket callback rfcomm_sk_data_ready() when processing incoming data frames for a connected data link connection whose owner has been cleared. A remote attacker on the local network can send repeated data frames during the interval before the connection closes to accumulate unreleased socket buffers and exhaust kernel memory, causing a denial of service.
