Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98893)
CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read
CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger an out-of-bounds read that may cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in the ARM SCMI sensor notification parser when processing truncated SENSOR_UPDATE notifications. A local user can supply a truncated notification, if able to control notification payloads, to cause the parser to read beyond the received buffer, potentially causing a denial of service.
Remediation
Install update from vendor's website.
