Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98875)
CWE-ID: CWE-476 - NULL Pointer Dereference
CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to potentially cause a denial of service by triggering a crash during GPU initialization.
The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in the Linux kernel Nouveau driver's GA100 initialization when booting GSP-RM. A local user can potentially trigger the affected initialization path to cause a denial of service because the booter constructor in tu102_gsp_oneinit() accesses device->sec2 even though the missing SEC2 chip-table entry leaves that pointer null.
