1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-9536)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the vtkWindBladeReader FindVariableOffsets functionality. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted .wind, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.


2) Expired pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-41216)
