CWE-ID: CWE-248 - Uncaught Exception
CVSSv4: 6.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause request failures in PHP 8 applications that pass untrusted input to SVG Sanitizer.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds string offset in pre-parsing checks when input ends inside an unclosed tag, triggering an uncaught ValueError under default settings. An unauthenticated remote attacker can submit a truncated SVG to terminate the affected request even when the application catches Exception objects.
