Vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to access of resource using incompatible type ('type confusion') in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) when rendering crafted web content. A remote attacker can host a specially crafted website and convince a user to view it to execute arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation requires deceptive or invisible form elements and two sequential taps by the user. An exploited vulnerability can affect resources beyond the security scope of the vulnerable component.

Remediation

Install security update from vendor's website.
