SQL injection in Zabbix - CVE-2024-42327
Published: December 5, 2024 / Updated: July 3, 2025
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the addRelatedObjects() function from the CUser class. A remote authenticated user with access to the API can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
