Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The weakness exists in ACME Labs mini_httpd and thttpd due to buffer overrun when handling user-supplied input. A remote attacker send specially crafted input, trigger memory corruption, execute htpasswd commands and arbitrary code with privileges of the current user.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
