Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the DEFINE_STATIC_KEY_FALSE(), nft_trace_notify() and nft_trace_init() functions in net/netfilter/nf_tables_trace.c, within the __nft_trace_packet(), nft_trace_packet() and __nft_trace_verdict() functions in net/netfilter/nf_tables_core.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
