The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists due to a segmentation violation in the Executable and Linkable Format (ELF) note parser. A remote attacker can trick the victim into the opening the specially crafted ELF file, trigger an out-of-bounds read condition and cause the service to crash.
