The vulnerability allows a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the target system.
The weakness exists due to a heap-based buffer overflow in SMB_IOC_SVCENUM IOCTL. A local attacker can send overly long data, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code with host OS privileges.
