Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability exists in the way Firefox handles Windows .url shortcuts. A remote attacker can trick the victim into clicking on a specially crafted shortcut and force the browser to open another file.
