Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to an unverified password change in FortiSwitch GUI. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the set_password endpoint and modify administrative password, leading to a device compromise.
