Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper memory management in the Wireless Network Control daemon (wncd). A remote attacker on the local network can send a specially crafted IPv6 network request and cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on the target system.
