Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause DoS condition or gain elevated privileges on the target system.
The weakness exists due to buffer overflow in the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys) handler for DxgDdiEscape ID 0x70001b2. By sending a specially crafted file, a local attacker can trigger denial of service or increase privileges.
