Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to memory leak within ProFTPd 1.2.0rc2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a series of USER commands, and possibly SIZE commands if the server has been improperly installed. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service attack.
