Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to use of incorrect byte ordering in the Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) on SRX300 Series routers. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted BGP UPDATE message over an established BGP session and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability affects eBGP and iBGP over IPv4 and IPv6.
