Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists due to a lack of flow control. A remote attacker can send specially crafted input, trigger excessive buffering and cause the service to crash.

How to mitigate CVE-2018-5501

Update to versions 13.0.0 or 12.1.3.2.
