Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

The weakness exists due to an APFS volume password may be unexpectedly truncated due to an input validation flaw. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted input and access arbitrary data.
