Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the sixel_debug_print_palette() function in encoder.c of the component img2sixel. A local user can trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
