Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the AF_UNIX socket garbage collection implementation on Ubuntu Noble's 6.8 kernel. A local user can trigger a use-after-free error and crash the OS kernel or execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
