Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the srcu_gp_start(), srcu_gp_end(), srcu_gp_start_if_needed() and srcu_barrier() functions in kernel/rcu/srcutree.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
