Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists in the id3_field_parse function in field.c due to boundary error. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted mp3 file, trigger memory corruption and cause the service to crash.
