The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft Office Excel. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
