Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to memory leak within the EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL(), setup_nox2apic(), early_param(), x2apic_disable() and check_x2apic() functions in arch/x86/kernel/apic/apic.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
