Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the target system.
The weakness exists due to a .ppm file can introduce a value larger than is readable by PMSoft’s fixed-length stack buffer. A local attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
