Description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in disk device configuration validation when creating a disk device with shift=true in a restricted project without restricted.devices.disk.paths set. A remote user can create a disk device with shift=true and a setuid root executable to escalate privileges.

The issue occurs in projects configured with restricted=true and restricted.devices.disk=allow.
