Description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass SVG sanitization protections.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the media manager rename functionality when renaming a previously uploaded file to the .svg extension. A remote user can upload a file with a permitted extension and later rename it to .svg to bypass SVG sanitization protections.

Only instances with the media.clean_vectors configuration enabled are vulnerable, and user interaction from another trusted user is required.
