Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists due to mishandling of layers of tree objects. A remote attacker can trigger disk consumption and cause the service to crash via a specially crafted repository, aka a Git bomb.
